Day 1: Monday, June 18 – Depart Hamilton Mountain with picks ups in Grimbsy and St. Catharines.
Boxed Breakfast is included on the bus! We’ll pass our time away today getting to know each other, having some fun with Bingo on the bus, family-friendly fun movies, all while enjoying complimentary bottled water and snacks.  Comfort stops will be made every 2 hours, as well as a quick lunch stop (on your own).

Travel to MASSACHUSETTS, the “Bay State”, and check into lodging at the HAMPTON INN, Chicopee,MA. (1 Night Stay)

Day 2 – Tuesday, June 19

BUFFET BREAKFAST is included this morning at our hotel.

8:00 A.M. – Check out and depart.

Our local guide will meet us enroute and conduct a tour of America’s Hometown – PLYMOUTH. As one of the country’s first settlements, it is well known in the United States for its historical value. A stop will be made at the Forefather’s Monument, the largest, solid granite monument in the United States. She stands facing the harbor, welcoming those who come by water. Picture stops will be made at Plymouth Rock, the traditional site of disembarkation of the Pilgrims in 1620.

Enjoy free time for lunch and shopping on the waterfront.

We will then travel over the CAPE COD CANAL via the Sagamore Bridge into SANDWICH – the oldest town on Cape Cod, where we’ll view the Village Green, the Great Salt Marsh, a Cranberry Bog, and Cape Cod Bay. Sandwich became the site of one of America’s largest glass factories, an industry that flourished during the 19th century. Welcome to the sandy shores of CAPE COD. Extending some 70 miles into the sea, the Cape is home to both natural beauty and quaint colonial villages. You can walk pristine beaches, revel in the arts and culture, and reclaim childhood memories of seashells, sandcastles, and saltwater taffy.

Day 3 – Wednesday, June 20, 2018

BUFFET BREAKFAST is included this morning at our hotel.

Our local guide will meet us at our hotel and we will travel to WOODS HOLE. This community is the center of discovery of the HMS Titanic, the world renowned Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and the national headquarters of the International Wildlife Coalition. iselin_550_41491

Afterwards, we will board the traditional STEAMSHIP AUTHORITY ferry to the island of MARTHA’S VINEYARD. Upon arrival, our guide will conduct a “DOWN ISLAND” TOUR. We will learn about the history and lifestyles of the islanders as we pass through the picturesque villages. There will be free time for lunch in the historic whaling town of Edgartown. Complete our day on the island in Oak Bluffs strolling through “Cottage City” with its brightly painted cottages and decorative “gingerbread” trim. We’ll depart the island and travel a short distance into FALMOUTH, home of Katharine Lee Bates, author of “America the Beautiful”.

Day #4 – Thursday, June 21, 2018

BUFFET BREAKFAST is included this morning at our hotel.

Our LOCAL GUIDE will meet us at our hotel for a full day of touring. We will travel historic ROUTE 6A, the Old King’s Highway, a scenic byway winding through centuries of Cape Cod history. It winds past hundreds of historic structures which characterize its early development. View the Eastham Windmill, a Cape Cod Lighthouse and visit the CAPE COD NATIONAL SEASHORE VISITOR’S CENTER. Sand dunes and the ocean surround you as you approach “Land’s End” – PROVINCETOWN. You are now at the extreme tip of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands” the pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the Bay in Plymouth. Take some time to enjoy the wonderful variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries that make this artists/fishermen village so unique. Lunch is on your own today.

Board an excursion vessel for an amazing experience of WHALE WATCHING. You will travel into the natural habitat of a diverse marine environment including birds that migrate here from all over the Atlantic, and fish which use these shallow waters to feed. Try to spot Humpback, Minke, and Fin Whales going about their daily business. An onboard naturalist will introduce you to everything you see and will answer any of your questions about the whales, birds, fish and lighthouses.

OR YOU MAY CHOOSE TO STAY ON DRY LAND:

Admission is included this afternoon on a DUNE TOUR excursion. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Your guide will point out the “dune shacks” where famous artists and writers became inspired to create their art.

Day #5 – Friday, June 22

BUFFET BREAKFAST is included this morning at our hotel.

8:00 A.M. Check out and depart.

Arrive in NEWPORT, RI where our LOCAL GUIDE from Viking Tours will meet us at the Visitors Information Center. Enjoy the charm of Newport’s historic buildings and restored homes on this narrated tour covering over 150 points of interest. Time for lunch on own / shopping.

Admission is included to tour the BREAKERS MANSION. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport’s summer “cottages” and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family’s social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. 20Depart Newport.

Day 6 – Saturday, June 23, 2018

Buffet Breakfast at our hotel.

8:00 A.M.  – Depart for Canada with sand in our shoes, seashells in our pockets and many fond                        memories of our tour to CAPE COD!
