Travelling through Quebec enroute each way, every day we will showcase something new. DAY 1: Monday, July 24th Hamilton, ON to Saint Hyacinth,QC
|Meet your tour director and depart on your 11-day Maritime Tour. Today you will travel to Saint Hyacinth and stop for lunch and rest breaks along the way. This evening we check in to the Holiday Inn Express Saint Hyacinth.|
DAY 2: Tuesday, July 25th Saint Hyacinth, QC to Fredericton
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your tour director. Today you will travel to Fredericton, NB. Set your watches ahead one hour after crossing into New Brunswick. We stop for lunch and rest breaks along the way.|
|Arrive at the Crowne Plaza Lord Beaverbrook in Fredericton, NB at approximately 5:00 pm. Time to check in and relax before dinner|
|Enjoy a “Welcome to the Maritimes” buffet dinner. The rest of the evening is on your own to explore the downtown area.|
DAY 3: Wednesday, July 26th Fredericton, NB to Halifax, NS
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your tour director. Today you will travel to the Bay of Fundy to walk along the ocean floor at Hopewell Rocks. The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world|
|Enjoy an included lunch at the High Tides Café. After lunch travel to Halifax with rest stops along the way.|
|Check into the Cambridge Suites, Halifax, NS. This evening you are free to explore the downtown area and to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant (not included).|
DAY 4: Thursday, July 27th Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your tour director. Meet your local step on guide for your full day tour. Today we will travel to Lunenburg. Enjoy free time to explore this UNESCO town and enjoy a scattered lunch (not included).|
|Depart for Peggy’s Cove and the Swiss Air Memorial|
|Enjoy an included dinner at Murphy’s on the Water. The rest of the evening is free to explore downtown Halifax.|
DAY 5: Friday, July 28th Halifax to Sydney
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your tour director. This morning we drive to Sydney, Cape Breton with rest breaks and lunch along the way.|
|Visit Rita’s Tea Room for an included lunch before departing for the Fortress of Louisburg. Then we travel to Sydney, NS. Approximate arrival time is 6:00 pm at the Cambridge Suites, Sydney.|
|Enjoy an included dinner at the hotel followed by an Old Fashioned Cape Breton Ceilidh. Wear your dancing shoes and sing along.|
DAY 6: Saturday, July 29th Touring the Cabot Trail
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your tour director. This morning we check out of your host hotel and meet your local step on guide. They will share the rich history of Cape Bre-ton while your tour the Cabot Trail. Lunch will be included along the trail.|
|Enjoy an dinner in Port Hawkesbury at the Fleur-de-Lis Tea Room (not included) before departing for the Holiday Inn Express Stellerton in New Glasgow, NS|
DAY 7: Sunday, July 30th New Glasgow, NS to Charlottetown, PE
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your tour director. This morning we will drive to Prince Edward Island. This includes a 75-minute ferry ride across the Northumberland Straight. We will stop for rest breaks along the way. Enjoy lunch on board the ferry (not included).|
|Arrive in Wood Islands, where you will meet your local guide. On your way to Charlottetown visit the Rossingnol Winery and Point Prim Lighthouse. Enjoy a partial introduction to the city before enjoying the rest of the afternoon to explore downtown before checking into the Rodd Royalty.|
|Enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant. This evening we will see the performance of Anne of Green Gables at the Confederation Centre. (subject to change depending on the 2017 schedule)|
DAY 8: Monday, July 31st North Shore Tour
|Enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast. This morning we will have free time to explore|
|This afternoon we will have a North Shore and Anne of Green Gables Tour. Visit
a fishing village, PEI Preserve Company, Cavendish Beach and Anne of Green
|Tonight we will enjoy a Traditional Lobster Dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf Lobster
Suppers. Your meal comes with all you can eat mussels, chowder and access to a 60ft salad bar. Entrée choices are a 1lb lobster, NY Strip Steak, ½ Rotisserie Chicken, Scallops or Jumbo Shrimp. After dinner, we return to Charlottetown.
DAY 9: Tuesday, August 1st Charlottetown, NB to Miramichi, NB
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director. This morning we
cross the Confederation Bridge and travel to Miramichi. Along the way we will stop at Le Pays de la Sagouine. Pronunciation “pay-ee day la sag-win”, meaning the country of the wash-erwoman, Le Pays de la Sagouine is an eclectic reproduction of a
prohibition-era fishing village inspired by international award winning novelist,
Antonine Maillet, and her most celebrated character, La Sagouine. Included is
an Acadian lunch.
|After lunch, visit Olivier Soapery for a lively and entertaining demonstration on
traditional soap making. Travel to Miramichi and check in to the Rodd
Miramichi River Hotel.
|Enjoy a “Farewell to the Maritimes” Chicken & Rib BBQ Feast and share favorite memories of your Maritime Tour.|
DAY 10: Wednesday, August 2nd Miramichi, NB to Saint Hyacinth, QC
|Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet your Tour Director, then check out
and travel to Saint Hyacinth, QC. We will stop for rest breaks and lunch along the way. Set watches back one hour once you cross into Quebec. This evening we arrive at our host hotel, Holiday Inn Saint Hyacinth.
DAY 11: Thursday, August 3rd Saint Hyacinth, QC to Hamilton, ON
